I invite and work with adults who may struggle with depression, anxiety, fear, grief, mild trauma, handling emotions, transitions, identity, anger management, self-esteem, identity, mild trauma work and more
I am a native to the Adirondack region and have a passion, a love and a lifelong understanding of our local communities and resources. I love this area! It has just a little bit of everything. I am very excited to work with and support our small communities for better health and better well-being!
I own and operate my own Online Private Practice called Inner Works Counseling based in Glens Falls, NY.
Experience
Shelby has over 5 years of direct clinical experience. She completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2019.
Her places of clinical work have varied from college campuses like SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Adirondack to a local non-profit. Shelby has worked with teens, adults and senior adults at a local non-profit counseling center for 4 years.
Additionally, she has extensive experience with group counseling, facilitating and coordinating 3 weekly community groups on topics of emotional regulation, meaning-making, anger management and more.
She has over 3 years of experience with online mental health counseling. Because of telehealth she offers services throughout upstate, NY like Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Queensbury, Lake George Warrensburg, Ticonderoga and Plattsburgh!

"My approach is gentle and warm creating space for safety and authentic presence. I love helping people find solutions to their struggles as well as helping them to challenge the way they think and approach things.
I foster a gentle, warm and non-judgmental presence to allow for people to find and practice using their voice. Working together to build self-esteem, challenge unhelpful habits and create ways to empower self are just some of the goals we can address."
